Fugue in C Minor (SuperCollider Rendition)
project overview
fugue in c minor is a digital rearticulation of a three-voice fugue composed by gong, translating baroque contrapuntal form into a system-based electronic environment. developed in supercollider, the project assigns each voice of the fugue to evolving synthesizer instruments that shift roles over the course of the piece, allowing musical form to emerge through programmed relationships rather than fixed playback. rather than presenting the fugue as a static transcription, the work treats counterpoint, timbre, and spatial texture as dynamic parameters within a generative framework, positioning composition as the design of a musical system. this composition has received international recognition, including an absolute first prize at the concours international de musique jean-philippe rameau and the visionary creativity special award from the world exceptional musicians competition.
